Description

A quintessential Mediterranean shrub, Lavender is easily recognized by its fragrant purple spikes and silvery-green foliage. It thrives in sunny, rocky, calcareous terrain. historically, Romans used it to scent their baths—the name tends to derive from 'lavare' (to wash)—and it has been cherished for centuries for its ability to soothe both the skin and the mind.
